General notes

The on-board computer is activated as soon as you turn the key to position 1 in the ignition lock.

The on-board computer shows vehicle information and settings in the display.

You can control the display and the settings in the on-board computer using the adjustment buttons on the instrument cluster.

To display the outside temperature or digital speedometer: turn the key to position 2 in the ignition lock.

Press the mbsymb3_inv_0034.png menu button for longer than 1 second.

The information shown in the display changes from the outside temperature to the digital speedometer.

Menus in the on-board computer

Overview

If you wish to exit a menu and go to the standard display:

Press the mbsymb3_inv_0034.png menu button for longer than one second.

or

Do not press any button for 10 seconds.

The display accepts the changed settings.

Using the mbsymb5_inv_0066.png, mbsymb5_inv_0067.png, mbsymb3_inv_0034.png or mbsymb6_inv_0039.png adjustment buttons, you can select the following functions:

  • Calling up the service due date more

  • Checking the oil level more

  • Preselecting/setting the auxiliary heating switch-on time more

  • Tyre pressure monitor more

  • Setting the time more

  • Setting the daytime driving lights more

Setting the time

Turn the key to position 2 in the ignition lock.

Press the mbsymb3_inv_0034.png menu button repeatedly until the hours figure flashes.

Press the mbsymb5_inv_0066.png or mbsymb5_inv_0067.png button to set the hour.

Press the mbsymb6_inv_0039.png reset button.

The minute display flashes.

Press the mbsymb5_inv_0066.png or mbsymb5_inv_0067.png button to set the minute.

If you keep the mbsymb5_inv_0066.png or mbsymb5_inv_0067.png button pressed, the value will change continuously.

Setting the daytime driving lights

If you switch the daytime driving lights ON, the daytime driving lights will automatically light up when the engine is running.

For safety reasons, it is only possible to change this setting when the vehicle is stationary. The factory setting is ON in countries in which constant headlamp mode or daytime driving lights are mandatory.

Turn the key to position 2 in the ignition lock.

Press the mbsymb3_inv_0034.png menu button repeatedly until the mbsymb2_inv_004c.png indicator lamp flashes and the on or OFF message appears in the display.

Press the mbsymb5_inv_0066.png or mbsymb5_inv_0067.png button to activate or deactivate daytime driving lights.

If you turn the light switch to mbsymb2_inv_0054.png or mbsymb2_inv_004c.png, the corresponding light switches on. If you turn the light switch to mbsymb1b_inv_00c3.png, the daytime driving lights remain switched on.
